Hmm. I probably never tried that when I was experimenting with the packed attribute. Should check that out… For folks wondering what this comment is doing here — this is in response to my older page on C structure packing.

I was trying to get structures packed to match a non-Intel GCC compiler,
when I found your page about structure packing in GCC.
I did some more experimentation and found that it is not necessary
to split the structure definition and the typedef,
if the attribute information preceeds the typedef tag, like:
typedef struct { … } __attribute__((__packed__)) Name;

hA.. Thanks for this explanation… I was wondering how this InfoWeb had been installed on my pc Each day, some ppl find an easy way to make some cent… This is one of the best example of this tendency.

What’s the D-pad? You mean the navigational thingie on the right side of the keyboard? Should try that.

Use the center button on the D-pad

Hold it down for ctrl, and double click to escape.

Also, if you’re using screen the camera shutter button will change between screens. The reason I started using vim over emacs years ago was because I found it much easier to work in a modal editor on my phone (at the time a blackberry).
